Feinstein on Kavanaugh Accuser: “I can’t say that everything is truth”

In case you missed it, Sen. Diane Feinstein (D-CA) admitted earlier this week that the details of the accusation against Judge Kavanaugh by Prof. Christine Ford cannot be relied upon as completely true, but none of that comes as any surprise to us. As Democrats race against the clock to prevent the confirmation of yet another conservative judge to the Supreme Court, they trip over the truth, which is something that rarely ever occurs to them to consider. As has been pointed out by numerous op-eds in recent days, if the charges by Ford were worth anything, they’d have been made weeks ago, perhaps even decades ago. This is only stagecraft by the left to “bork” Kavanaugh. Just ask Justice Clarence Thomas how that feels.

Here’s more from Breitbart…

Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), the ranking Democrat on the Senate Judiciary Committee and the conduit through whom California professor Christine Blasey Ford’s allegations about Supreme Court nominee Judge Brett Kavanaugh came to light, expressed doubts about that allegation for the first time Monday.
According to Fox News’s Chad Pegram, Feinstein told his fellow Fox reporter Connor Marley, “I can’t say that everything is truthful. I don’t know.”

Feinstein was, as far as publicly reported, the only senator with any knowledge of the allegations — that a 17-year-old Kavanaugh and another teenager pulled Ford into a room at a high school party, forced her onto a bed, and groped her over her clothing before she was able to the flee the room — before the story exploded over the weekend. Feinstein addressed that delay with Marley as well:

Kavanaugh Accuser Refuses to Testify

Christine Blasey Ford, who has accused SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault 36 years ago, is now refusing to testify before the U.S. Senate. But wait! She wants an FBI investigation into the matter. Her claim came the weekend after the Senate announced a committee vote to confirm Judge Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. Ford’s lawyers advise that “an FBI investigation of the incident should be the first step in addressing her allegations.” Except Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) has been sitting on her allegations since July, which would have provided a more realistic time frame for an investigation as opposed to a single weekend. This is a classic stall tactic by Democrats in hopes of delaying the vote until after the November elections. This ploy will fail.

Her’s more from The Daily Wire…

In fast-changing events late Tuesday, lawyers for Christine Blasey Ford — who has accused Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault when the two were in high school — said she would not accept an invitation to appear before the committee on Monday.

“As the Judiciary Committee has recognized and done before, an FBI investigation of the incident should be the first step in addressing her allegations,” Ford’s lawyers wrote in a letter to committee chairman Sen. Chuck Grassley. “A full investigation by law enforcement officials will ensure that the crucial facts and witnesses in this matter are assessed in a non-partisan manner, and that the Committee is fully informed before conducting any hearing or making any decisions.”

“She’s not prepared to talk with them at a hearing on Monday,” said Lisa J. Banks, one of Ford’s lawyers. “No legitimate investigation is going to happen between now and Monday.”

The letter, written by Banks and Debra S. Katz, also said Ford and her family have been forced out of their California home by death threats.

Deep State Leak Factory at State Dept

A concerted, strategic strategy in character assassination of President Trump’s political appointees has been unearthed at the State Department. The essential strategy was for high-ranking Obama administration holdovers and career employees to gather anti-Trump civil servants around the lunch table for a power hour of “complaints.” They would then “leak” the unfavorable and anonymous opinions [read: lies] to key publications, such as Foreign Policy, for broad circulation. In one instance, it triggered a full congressional investigation launched by concerned top Democrats in the Senate, but unsurprisingly some employees felt railroaded into the lunches, and the plot writ large may see complaints of its own.

Here’s more from Breitbart…

It was mid-May, about six weeks after Trump appointee Mari Stull began her new job as senior adviser at the State Department’s Bureau of International Organization Affairs.
As senior adviser at the bureau, Stull was in charge of making sure President Trump’s agenda was represented at the many international organizations the U.S. participates in and mostly funds, such as the United Nations and its various agencies.

Stull and her boss, Amb. Kevin Moley, had just left for a trip to Geneva for the World Health Assembly. Back at the State Department, Erin Barclay, a senior career diplomat at the IO bureau, invited more than ten civil servants within the bureau to a lunch meeting.

At the meeting, Molly Phee, another senior career diplomat, went around the table and asked each civil servant for complaints about Stull and took notes. Another senior career diplomat in the IO bureau, Nerissa Cook, was also there.

Strzok-Page Texts Underscore No Evidence of Collusion

Text messages exchanged between disgraced FBI lovebirds Peter Strzok and Lisa Page show the two discussing whether or not to open a “case” in a “formal chargeable way” after Director James Comey was fired. In light of Page’s congressional testimony revealing no evidence of collusion before the Mueller appointment, the texts raise questions regarding what this investigation is in fact all about. The text messages were among a batch of six months’ worth of “missing” messages covering December 2016 to May 2017, a critical gap in transparency blamed on software and technical glitches at the FBI. Translation: These texts were buried unsurprisingly because they likely revealed what we already know: the FBI colluded both to exonerate Hillary and then to defeat her opponent.

Here’s more from Fox News…

Text messages from disgraced FBI figures Peter Strzok and Lisa Page, discussing whether to open a “case” in a “formal chargeable way” after Director James Comey was fired, are under fresh scrutiny after Page told congressional investigators there was no evidence of Russian collusion at the time, according to three congressional sources.

Two hours after Comey’s termination became public on May 9, 2017, Strzok, a now-former FBI agent, texted Page, his then-colleague and lover: “We need to open the case we’ve been waiting on now while Andy is acting.”

“Andy” is a reference to then-Deputy Director Andrew McCabe who temporarily took over the bureau until Christopher Wray was confirmed as director in August 2017.

Page, a former FBI attorney, replied to Strzok: “We need to lock in (redacted). In a formal chargeable way. Soon.”

Strzok concurred. “I agree. I’ve been pushing and I’ll reemphasize with Bill,” believed to be Bill Priestap, the head of the FBI’s counterintelligence division.

RBG Blasts “Highly Partisan” Kavanaugh Hearings

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg reminisced about the good ol’ days of bipartisan, sensible confirmation hearings during a recent speech at George Washington University Law School. Ginsburg told her audience that “the way it was, was right. The way it is, is wrong.” Her remarks, however, are already being used by the rabid left to make their case against Kavanaugh even though Ginsburg spent a fair amount of time detailing how she was never asked any questions about her work for the ACLU or how Justice Antonin Scalia received a unanimous vote and similar respectful consideration. The Kavanaugh vote is already scheduled for Sept. 20 and is expected to be successful, albeit by a slim majority.

Here’s more from Breitbart…

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg made her disapproval known regarding the “highly partisan show” that took place during confirmation hearings for Brett Kavanaugh.
Speaking at the George Washington University Law School, Justice Ginsburg told students that “the way it was, was right. The way it is, is wrong.” She called the “atmosphere” of her 96-3 voted confirmation “truly bipartisan.”

“The vote on my confirmation was 96-3, even though I had spent about 10 years of my life litigating cases under the auspices of the ACLU,” she explained. “No senator asked me any questions — not about that.”

Ginsburg offered another example, in memory of the late Justice Anton Scalia: “Think of Justice Scalia, who’s certainly a known character in, what was it? 1986,” she said, continuing:

The vote was unanimous, every Democrat and every Republican voted for him. That’s the way it should be, instead of what it’s become, which is a highly partisan show. The Republicans move in lockstep, and so do the Democrats.

CA Has Highest Poverty Rate in Nation

California’s socialist dogma has successfully bankrupted this once prosperous state according to newly released data from the U.S. Census Bureau. The report clocks California at a 19% poverty rate (2017), encompassing 7.5 million of its residents despite a 13.9% national poverty average. The redistribution of wealth by liberals in the Golden State appears to be failing in improving the quality of life, and it’s a trend seen in other predominately blue states, including New York, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Delaware, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, where poverty rates are likewise above the national average.

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

California is the most liberal state in the nation. It’s also the most poverty-ridden state in the nation.

Newly released data from the U.S. Census Bureau put California’s 2017 poverty rate at 19% — or 7.5 million state residents. That was well above the national average, which was 13.9%.

The Bureau uses a formula called the Supplemental Poverty Measure (SPM), which “extends the official poverty measure by taking account of many of the government programs designed to assist low-income families and individuals that are not included in the official poverty measure,” the Bureau says in its report. The formula also factors in cost of living for different regions.

“There were 16 states plus the District of Columbia for which SPM rates were higher than official poverty rates, 18 states with lower rates, and 16 states for which the differences were not statistically significant,” said the Bureau.

Interestingly, the states where the SPM was higher than the official rate are mostly liberal: California, New York, Oregon, Nevada, Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts.

Barack Obama: I Built Trump’s Economy

Megalomaniac former president Barack Obama is desperately trying to save a legacy that’s not even his: an economy that is being made great again by President Trump. “We worked hard to turn this economy around when I was president,” Obama proclaimed during a rally for a Democratic candidate in Cleveland. “And the actions that we took during the economic crisis returned the economy to healthy growth, initiated the longest streak of job creation on record, which continues to today … ” He would go on to advise the crowd to “Just remember when the ball got rolling.” Obama’s narcissistic attempt to salvage his economic failure has been shot down by an Investor’s Business Daily report decisively delivering economic victory to Trump. The IBD also noted “the same reporters now patting Obama on the back for today’s strong economy were reporting in late 2016 about how – as The New York Times put it – ‘the underlying reality of low growth will haunt whoever wins the White House.'”

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

Barack Obama’s ego knows no bounds.

The U.S. economy sputtered throughout his eight years in office (he blamed predecessor George W. Bush, of course, and when that got tired, he blamed Congress). But now that the economy is booming, Obama’s demanding credit.

“We worked hard to turn this economy around when I was president,” Obama told a crowd of thousands in a school auditorium in Cleveland, Ohio, on Tuesday as he campaign for a Democratic candidate. “And the actions that we took during the economic crisis returned the economy to healthy growth, initiated the longest streak of job creation on record, which continues to today … ”

“So just remember that: When you hear these folks bragging about this economic miracle, just remember when it started!” Obama yelled, prompting cheers. “Just remember when the ball got rolling.”

But Investor’s Business Daily did a nice piece this week on the two economies headlined “Sorry Obama, But It’s Trump’s Economic Boom, Not Yours.”

Strzok’s Lawyer Furious Over “Media Leak” Letter

Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) and fired FBI agent Peter Strzok’s lawyer are engaged in a war of words after the congressman released a scathing letter discussing references to “media leak strategy” text messages exchanged between Strzok and his extramarital girlfriend, Lisa Page, in April 2017 as the Russian investigation coverage escalated. “I had literally just gone to find this phone to tell you I want to talk to you about media leak strategy with DOJ before you go.” Meadows also revealed on April 22 that Strzok texted that “article is out! Well done, Page.” In other words, Strzok is now somewhat upset that he’s already been convicted in the court of public opinion. Whether or not he’ll be convicted in a court of law remains to be seen.

Here’s more from Fox News…

A top Republican congressman and fired FBI agent Peter Strzok’s lawyer traded scathing, no-holds-barred accusations of deliberate dishonesty on Tuesday, one day after newly unearthed text messages showed Strzok discussing a “media leak strategy” with the Justice Department in April 2017.

The texts were first outlined in a letter sent by Rep. Mark Meadows, R-N.C., to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein on Monday. In one of the messages, dated April 10, Strzok tells former FBI attorney Lisa Page, “I had literally just gone to find this phone to tell you I want to talk to you about media leak strategy with DOJ before you go.”

In a revised letter sent Tuesday, Meadows, who serves on the House Oversight Committee, writes that on April 22, Strzok texted that “article is out! Well done, Page.” It is unclear what article Strzok was referring to, or whether it was about the Russia case. In Meadows’ original letter, however, he claimed that exchange occurred on April 12 — one day after The Washington Post published a story titled, “FBI obtained FISA warrant to monitor former Trump adviser Carter Page.”

Email Shows Google’s Bias Against Trump in 2016 Election

A newly obtained email from November 2016 reveals Eliana Murillo, former head of Multicultural Marketing at Google, strategically deploying company resources as part of an effort to help Hillary Clinton win. “[Google] supported partners like Voto Latino to pay for rides to the polls in key states,” the email reveals, describing the assistance as a “silent donation.” This is just one more piece of evidence in a long train of abuses by Uber-left tech giants in Silicon Valley conspiring as willing accomplices to put Hillary in the White House. Coupled with the FBI Strzok conspiracy, one could begin to wonder whether Trump’s victory might have been a landslide in an otherwise fair fight.

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

Fox News host Tucker Carlson revealed in an exclusive segment Monday that a newly obtained email from inside Google allegedly shows the tech giant’s pro-Hillary bias during the 2016 election.

“An email obtained exclusively by this show reveals that a senior Google employee deployed the company’s resources to increase voter turnout in ways she believed would help the Clinton campaign win in the last election,” Carlson said.

The November 9, 2016 email obtained by Fox News reportedly came from Eliana Murillo, the former Head of Multicultural Marketing at Google.

“In her email, Murillo touts Google’s multifaceted efforts to boost Hispanic in the election,” Carlson said. “She knows that Latinos voted in record-breaking numbers, especially in states like Florida, Nevada, and Arizona.”

Carlson reported that Murillo said that Arizona was a “key state for us,” and bragged that the company “used its power to ensure that millions of people saw certain hashtags and social media impressions with the goal of influencing their behavior during the election.”

GOP Bill Asserts Constitutional Authority Over Courts

House Judiciary Committee Chairman Bob Goodlatte (R-VA) introduced the Injunctive Authority Clarification Act to stop federal courts from sweeping injunctions against the enforcement of federal law regardless of Republican or Democrat politics. It will instead limit injunctions to the parties presenting their case before the court. According to Rep. Goodlatte’s office, mark-up is expected this week. Recall that the Constitution gives clear authority to Congress, via Article III, to “ordain and establish” appellate courts. The practical effect of this clause as clarified in cases since ratification is that Congress has a check on the power of the federal courts. This is a clear response to overreaching federal judges who have taken it upon themselves to nullify just about anything that does suit their fancy. And it’s answer that’s long overdue.

Here’s more from Washington Examiner…

Rep. Bob Goodlatte, R-Va., has introduced legislation that would stop federal courts from issuing sweeping orders that block the enforcement of federal policies across the country directed by both Republicans and Democrats.

Goodlatte, the chairman of the House Judiciary Committee, introduced the Injunctive Authority Clarification Act late last week. The committee is expected to mark up the bill this week, according to Goodlatte’s office. It held a hearing examining the impact of nationwide injunctions in November.

If the legislation is passed and signed into law, injunctions issued by a federal court could extend only to the parties before it, not to the entire nation.

“The Constitution gives courts the authority to decide cases for the parties before them, not to act as super-legislators for everyone across the country based on a single case,” Goodlatte said in a statement. “It simply cannot be the law that opponents of government action can seek a preliminary injunction and lose in 93 of the 94 judicial districts, win one injunction in the 94th, and through that injunction obtain a stay of government action nationwide despite it being upheld elsewhere.”
