Chalk one up for Republican challenger Geoff Diehl, who took incumbent U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts by surprise with his mid-debate newsbreak to the sitting senator that an ethics complaint had been filed against her on Monday. The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) sent the complaint, saying Warren fund-raised off her mainstage role in the Kavanaugh confirmation chaos. “Senator Warren was fund-raising illegally using the vote on Justice Kavanaugh, the confirmation vote, to try to raise money for her campaigns,” Diehl said. After her brief deer-in-the-headlights moment, the potential 2020 contender attempted to deflect, but the debate moderators refused to let her off the hook. “The fund-raising while the vote was being taken on the Kavanaugh hearing – did you or did you not do that?” Warren finally admitted, “Actually, I don’t know.” Kudos to Warren for not digging her hole even deeper. Nevertheless, she can kiss her White House bid good-bye.

In a rather remarkable moment in a U.S. Senate debate in Massachusetts Tuesday, Democratic Sen. Elizabeth Warren learned for the first time that an ethics complaint has been filed against her for having fundraised off of Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearings.
The presidential hopeful senator was first informed of the complaint by her Republican challenger Geoff Diehl in a moment highlighted by The Washington Free Beacon.
“Senator Warren was fundraising illegally using the vote on Justice Kavanaugh, the confirmation vote, to try to raise money for her campaigns,” Diehl said.
Warren, who maintained a blank look on her face when Diehl first cited the complaint, attempted to side-step the issue by asking Diehl to name a time that he criticized Trump after he made dismissive remarks about Christine Blasey Ford’s uncorroborated allegations.
That was the hyperbolic and vitriolic phrase used by CNN’s incorrigibly biased Don Lemon in describing the current state of affairs in America after the Florida pipe bomb mailer and synagogue shooter. No mention of the fact that the bomber was half-Filipino. Lemon pondered aloud, “What do we do about” a lack of a “white guy ban?” Lemon’s comments were seconded by privileged white male CNN host Chris Cuomo, who praised Lemon for “making the right point.” So just remember: if you happen to be born white and male, you should be put in figurative shackles. Paging Martin Luther King.
Here’s more from Fox News…
CNN host Don Lemon is under fire after a disturbing, on-air rant in which he declared that “white men” are the biggest terror threat to the United States, noted that “there is no white-guy ban” and wondered aloud, “what do we do about that?”
“Cuomo Prime Time” host Chris Cuomo and Lemon were discussing the recent shooting of two black men in Kentucky that is being investigated as a hate crime when his Monday guest and colleague took the conversation off the rails.
“I keep trying to point out to people not to demonize any one group or any one ethnicity, but we keep thinking that the biggest terror threat is something else,” Lemon said. “Some people who are marching towards the border like it’s imminent. And the last time they did this, a couple of hundred people came and they, you know, most of them didn’t get into the country. Most of them got tuckered out before they even made it to the border,” Lemon told his CNN colleague. “So we have to stop demonizing people and realize the biggest terror threat in this country is white men, most of them radicalized to the right, and we have to start doing something about them.”
We finally have an explanation behind NBC news sitting on evidence that would have cleared now-confirmed SCOTUS Justice Brett Kavanaugh of decades-old sexual assault allegations. NBC execs claim: “It was not newsworthy.” In explaining why evidence was covered up for a full week prior to the Oct. 6 vote, NBC’s Kate Snow said the news was hidden from the public because they were not able to verify or confirm the evidence, one for the irony hall of fame considering the wall-to-wall coverage of every unsubstantiated allegation against Kavanaugh. Snow tweeted: “By the time we were able to find the woman independently from Mr. Avenatti, who declined to give us her full legal name and phone number, and fully report and vet her story, the Kavanaugh confirmation process was over and the news value was limited.” Translation: we dragged our feet long enough to ensure relevant details remained buried.

NBC’s Kate Snow offers only falsehoods and double talk to explain why she and her employer hid crucial facts that would have cleared then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of gang rape allegations.
On Friday, Breitbart News reported that, although NBC had the information a full week prior to his October 6 confirmation, NBC covered up news that would have cleared Kavanaugh when it mattered most — during those intense final days of the confirmation process.
During that week, here is the information NBC News hid from the public and those senators deciding on whether or not to confirm Kavanaugh:
On September 30, the woman who signed a sworn statement corroborating Julie Swetnick’s gang rape allegations against Kavanaugh (the statement was publicly released by attorney Michael Avenatti on October 2), not only told NBC she had never witnessed Kavanaugh spike punch or rape anyone, she also became something of a character witness for Kavanaugh when she told NBC she had never once seen him behave inappropriately.
What was originally regarded as a toss-up in Indiana is now a toss-up with Republican candidate Mike Braun leading incumbent Democrat Senator Joe Donnelly. Just one week out, the CBS News Battleground Tracker shows Braun ahead by three points, 46 percent to 43 percent, and President Trump may be responsible for what appears to be a rising red wave in the Midwest. According to those polled, 42 percent said they were voting in the race to show their support for Trump, and just 25 percent said their vote was not about Trump. Perhaps more alarming to the open borders left, however, is the 55 percent of voters who cited negative feelings about the Central American migrant caravan marching toward our border with Mexico. Much to the left’s chagrin, would-be illegal immigrants might actually ensure the GOP gains seats in the senate.

Republican candidate Mike Braun leads incumbent Democrat Sen. Joe Donnelly heading into the November midterm election for the Indiana U.S. Senate seat, according to the latest polling.
Braun is ahead of Donnelly by three points, at 46 percent to 43 percent, according to the CBS News Battleground Tracker. The polling was conducted by YouGov from October 23-26. Eight percent are still not sure.
President Trump looms large in the race: 42 percent said they were voting in the Senate race in support of Trump, while 33 percent said they were voting in opposition to Trump. Twenty-five percent said it was not about Trump.
Most respondents had negative feelings about the migrant caravan traveling from Central America to the U.S. border. Fifty-five percent said the U.S. should not try to help the migrant caravan, and 44 percent said the U.S. should try to help.
Surprising precisely no one, NBC has been caught sitting on information that would have undermined the credibility of several women accusing newly confirmed SCOTUS Justice Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault. According to a report from The Daily Wire, NBC was manipulating the dates of their Oct. 1 interview with Michael Avenatti’s client Julie Swetnick in which she backtracked her key claims and undermined her own case causing it to crumble. Avenatti then released a second, nearly identical statement from an “unnamed” woman on Oct. 3, but which Swetnick disputed as misrepresentation. This was two days after the Swetnick interview but the beginning of a series of exchanges in which Swetnick accused Avenatti of twisting her words, while NBC covered it all up. Of course this is a typical, brazen attempt by leftist media moguls to massage the facts to fit their agenda.
Here’s more from The Daily Wire…
In yet another stunning display of media bias, NBC now acknowledges that it had information that undermined the credibility of some of the women who accused then-Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual assault, but didn’t report it at the time.
On Thursday, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-IA) referred celebrity lawyer Michael Avenatti and his client Julie Swetnick to the Justice Department. Swetnick, in a sworn statement, accused Kavanaugh of drinking too much, acting aggressive toward women, spiking the punch at parties and orchestrating teenage gang-rapes. Her claims were ludicrous on their face, but the left-leaning media – eager to torpedo Kavanaugh’s nomination for fear he could be the deciding vote in overturning Roe v. Wade – ran with them anyway.
NBC was the worst offender. The network interviewed Swetnick even though it said up front it couldn’t verify her claims. This is Journalism Malpractice 101; you don’t put out possibly defamatory information you can’t verify.
Incumbent Senator Bob Menendez (D-NJ) has lost his slight midterm advantage and is now in a toss-up race to save his senate seat according to Cook Political Report. The backwards slide comes in the wake of a Senate Ethics Committee warning about gifts from a wealthy campaign donor tied to his legislative efforts on Capitol Hill. Rather than a Democrat vs. Republican battle, the election was cited by Cook Political Report’s Jennifer Duffy as being a referendum on his ethics or lack thereof. If the GOP Senate margin increases to 53, it’ll be due in part to Menendez’s political insider dealing.
Here’s more from Washington Examiner…
Sen. Bob Menendez, D-N.J., who faced ethics questions this year, is now at risk of losing his Senate seat.
The race that was seen as “lean Democratic” is now a toss-up race, according to election analysts at the Cook Political Report.
Menendez received a warning this year by the Senate Ethics Committee about receiving gifts from a wealthy campaign donor and then trying to advance that donor’s interests in the Senate. And those ethics issues could be enough to unseat Menendez.
“The contest isn’t about anything else but Democratic U.S. Sen. Bob Menendez and his ethics problems,” wrote Jennifer Duffy of the Cook Political Report Friday morning.
Duffy said the Republican in the race, pharmaceutical CEO Bob Hugin, has outspent Menendez more than 2-1 in the race. But Duffy said the bigger problem for Menendez is voters who might have had enough of him.
CNN political analyst Kirsten Powers (and former girlfriend of Huma Abedin’s estranged husband, Anthony Weiner) got called out for virtue-signaling in her attempt to prevent white people from committing “cultural appropriation” on Halloween. She tweeted: “Dear white people who are upset that you can’t dress up as another race or culture for Halloween: your feelings don’t matter. The only feelings that matter are of those who feel disrespected/mocked by you appropriating their culture for entertainment. Show some common decency.” Enter Benghazi Hero and CIA/Military veteran Kris “Tanto” Paronto, who responded with a Game of Thrones meme featuring the very fair Daenerys Targaryen on the shoulders of her brown acolytes captioned: “How Kirsten Powers sees herself after complaining about white people dressing up as other ethnicities for Halloween.” Powers responded with a tweetfest calling Paronto a racist for pointing out the obvious. Why do leftists always resort to ad hominem in the face of truth?
Here’s more from The Daily Wire…
On Thursday, CNN political analyst and USA Today columnist Kirsten Powers attacked one of the American heroes of the Benghazi massacre, describing him as a racist.
Powers called Kris Paronto, who was part of the CIA annex security team guarding the Benghazi CIA annex during the 2012 terrorist attack, a racist after Paronto criticized her for tweeting that white people’s feelings didn’t matter when it came to dressing up for Halloween.
Powers had tweeted, “Dear white people who are upset that you can’t dress up as another race or culture for Halloween: your feelings don’t matter. The only feelings that matter are of those who feel disrespected/mocked by you appropriating their culture for entertainment. Show some common decency.”
Just last month incumbent Democratic Senator Debbie Stabenow (MI) had a safe 23-point head start over Republican challenger John James. RealClearPolitics wrote at the time that “there is little evidence that [James] poses a threat to Debbie Stabenow, who holds double-digit leads and is at about 50 percent in the polls.” But a month is an eternity in politics, and in just the past four weeks Stabenow has fallen by seven points and James has gained nine, a trend that has tracked on the statewide ballot and may be linked to the “Kavanaugh effect.” It’s a trend that may ripple well beyond Michigan’s borders. Justice is a sweet thing.

Time to take another Senate seat out of the safe column for Democrats? A month ago, incumbent Democrat Sen. Debbie Stabenow had a massive 23-point lead over Republican challenger John James in the EPIC-MRA Poll. RealClearPolitics wrote that “there is little evidence that [James] poses a threat to Debbie Stabenow, who holds double-digit leads and is at about 50 percent in the polls.”

Today, the Detroit Free Press finds much more evidence of that threat — and perhaps for an across-the-board collapse for Democrats in Michigan:
[I]n the U.S. Senate race, where the Democratic incumbent, U.S. Sen. Debbie Stabenow, has been widely expected to enjoy a double-digit victory over Republican challenger John James, her lead is down to 7 points, the poll found.
Democrats are leading in many polls across America, and perhaps the most questionable “evidence” of imminent victory on Election Day is that Nate Silver – a reliably leftist pollster – is predicting an 84% chance of a “blue wave” in the House of Representatives. As Daily Wire’s Joseph Curl points out, this is “the same Nate Silver who [put] the odds of Hillary Clinton winning the White House at 71.4 percent.” Indicators that all may not be rosy are the polls showing GOP candidates gaining nearly double-digit leads and the nervous reporting by the Associated Press wondering aloud, “In the closing stretch of the 2018 campaign, the question is no longer the size of the Democratic wave. It’s whether there will be a wave at all.” That wave, ultimately, could be a good-bye wave to any chance of Pelosi taking up the Speaker’s gavel again.
Here’s more from The Daily Wire…
Famed election prognosticator Nate Silver puts the odds of the Democrats taking over the House of Representatives at 84.6%.
Wait, you ask if this is the same Nate Silver who puts the odds of Hillary Clinton winning the White House at 71.4%?
Yes, yes it is.
So, one place you can not take that prediction is the bank.
Democrats have been solidly in the lead in generic polls that measure which party, Democrat or Republican, people say they’re going to vote for on November 6. But like Silver, those polls are often wrong. And the double-digit margin has suddenly closed as Election Day nears, with Democrats holding just a 3 or 4 point lead with less than two weeks to go.
The Associated Press, as liberal a news outlet as you’ll find out there, is now getting worried.
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel is playing the blame game for his city’s rampant crime on President Trump and the Justice Department. At CNN’S citizen conference in New York, Obama’s former Chief of Staff opined, “It’d be nice to have a Justice Department that works with you [rather] than try to exaggerate problems.” Emanuel’s remarks come after President Trump called out Chicago officials for failing to “do their job” and stop the violence. Curiously, Emanuel was not clear on what exactly the Trump administration was exaggerating and has yet to dispute the 455 homicides in Chicago this year or the 650 last year. Per usual, the solution is as plain as the nose on the liberal’s face. Gun control and Chicago’s crime wave don’t mix well.
Here’s more from PJ Media…
Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel accused President Trump of exaggerating the Windy City’s crime problem for political gain, and added that “it’d be nice to have a Justice Department that works with you than try to exaggerate problems.”
There were 650 homicides in the city last year and 762 in 2016; so far this year, there have been 455 homicides in Chicago, according to the Sun-Times’ list. Most of the deaths have been due to gun violence.
“We’re going to straighten it out. We’re going to straighten it out fast. There’s no reason for what’s going on there,” Trump said earlier this month at a law enforcement convention in Orlando. “I know the law enforcement people in Chicago, and I know how good they are. They could solve the problem if they were simply allowed to do their job and do their job properly and that’s what they want to do. So Chicago, we are going to start working with you as of today.”
