Comey Took Notes on Trump Calls But Didn’t Record Hillary’s Interrogation

Fallout from James Comey’s testimony before the U.S. Senate continues forth in the headlines, and none of it makes him or the DOJ look any better.

During the questions and answers, Comey made abundantly clear that he took copious notes on his conversations with President Trump, which he then leaked to the press.

But he never bothered to record Hillary Clinton’s three-hour interrogation during the email server investigation.

Then he went on to reveal the bombshell that then-Attorney General Loretta Lynch asked him to downgrade the email investigation to a ‘matter’ after her ‘coincidental’ confab with Bill Clinton.

Department of Injustice anyone? It’s time to clean house.

Here’s more from Gateway Pundit…

Fired FBI Director, James Comey said in a prepared opening statement released Wednesday that he didn’t keep detailed memos on his conversations with Obama like he did with Donald Trump.

Comey took notes on EVERY meeting with President Trump before and after his inauguration.
But Comey only spoke with Obama twice!

Even after the DNC computers were ‘hacked’ he never spoke with the Democrat president about the criminal attack on his party’s computers!

Former Director James Comey also did not record his THREE HOUR interview with former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on her likely criminal email activity.

Comey skipped the meeting.
The FBI did not swear in Hillary Clinton during her testimony.
The Hill reported:

Hillary Clinton did not swear an oath to tell the truth before meeting with the FBI for three and a half hours last weekend, and the interview was not recorded, FBI Director James Comey told House lawmakers on Thursday.

The lack of a sworn oath does not remove the possibility of criminal penalties against Clinton if she lied to the FBI, though he said he had “no basis to conclude” that she was untruthful.

“Still a crime to lie to us,” Comey told the House Oversight Committee.
FBI policy is not to record interviews as part of its investigations.

Yet the revelations will nonetheless raise questions among Republicans, who have been skeptical of the FBI’s investigation and have demanded to see the transcript of the former secretary of State’s interview in downtown Washington on Saturday.

Leaktastic: Comey Leaked Memos to Prompt Special Prosecutor

James Comey’s primetime testimony before Congress has come and gone, and boy was it a show.

It was supposed to bolster his claim to propriety and forthrightness.

Instead he showed himself as nothing more than a double-speaking political operator who happened also to be in charge of the world’s most powerful police force.

During his answers to questions from senators, he admitted to leaking his notes on private conversations with President Trump in order to spur the selection of the special prosecutor.

This after he said in previous testimony that leaks are “always a problem.”

Not only does Comey now have no credibility, he’s quite possibly schizophrenic.

Here’s more from Newsmax…

Fired FBI director James Comey admitted Thursday he leaked his personal notes on his meetings with President Donald Trump to prompt the naming of a special prosecutor to lead the Russia probe.

He said he asked a friend at Columbia Law School to share his written recollection of those conversations with a reporter after Trump fired him on May 9.

“I didn’t do it myself for a variety of reasons,” Comey told the Senate Intelligence Committee. “But I asked him to, because I thought that might prompt the appointment of a special counsel” to conduct the investigation into the Trump campaign’s possible collusion with Russian meddling in the 2016 election, he said.

The New York Times published a report on the Comey memo on May 16, and the following day former FBI director Robert Mueller was named special counsel to take over the investigation.

Smackdown: Karen Handel Leaves Dem Ossoff Speechless

It’s officially the most expensive congressional race in history, and it’s not even lasting a full election cycle given that it’s a special election.

We’re talking about the contest in Georgia between Republican Karen Handel and liberal darling Jon Ossoff.

After Ossof backed out of a previously booked debate, he was shunned into agreeing to another debate this week in which Handel handed him his derriere.

Pushing his buttons on the controversy over his not living in the district he hopes to represent thus his inability to vote even for himself, she asked, “So Jon…who are you going to vote for in this election?”

This election will be fun to watch.

Here’s more from Redstate…

During last night’s debate in the runoff for the special election to succeed now-HHS Secretary Tom Price, former Secretary of State Karen Handel (R) left ex-congressional aide Jon Ossoff (D) speechless when she asked Ossoff who he was going to vote for. The Ossoff  cannot vote for himself because he does not live in the district he is running to represent.

As the Washington Free Beacon reported, the candidates were given the opportunity to ask their opponent a question. Handel asked Ossoff about his residency.

“So Jon, I guess what I would like to know is exactly who are you going to vote for in this election?”
Ossoff paused for several seconds before asking, “Is that the question?” He then responded by saying he had previously addressed the matter, reiterating that he is living outside the district to support his now-fiancé. Then he attacked Handel for being “born and raised in Washington, D.C.”

“It is of concern to the people of the sixth district that you do not live in our community,” Handel replied. “And while I was born in Washington, D.C., I didn’t get to pick where I was born. But the fact is, I’ve been in Georgia for almost as long as you’ve been alive.”

Obama’s Domestic Surveillance Puts Wiretap Law In Jeopardy

In the present context where global terror attacks are happening almost on a weekly basis, the need for intelligence agencies to step up their game is critical.

And that reality only serves to highlight the damage Obama’s domestic surveillance did to U.S. wiretap regulations.

Because of the ‘incidental’ tapping by Obama’s FBI of private individuals along with the resultant ‘unmasking’ of their information, there’s serious threat of the whole thing getting scrapped, which could come at the cost intelligence operations being barred from conducting any legitimate surveillance of suspected terrorists at all.

But hey, Obama promised to ‘fundamentally transform’ the country.

Here’s more from Redstate…

Thanks to leaks targeting Michael Flynn and other members of the Trump administration, the reauthorization of

Electronic Frontier Foundation has documented a lot of these abuses. The FISA court, itself, is on record saying that the FBI, in particular, widely abused their authority and shared the identity of US citizens caught up in “incidental” surveillance with persons who did not have the clearance or need to see the information.Via McClatchy:

A small revolt in corners of the Republican Party bedevils plans for reauthorization this year of surveillance capabilities considered the “crown jewels” of the U.S. intelligence community.

Those capabilities, subject of a Senate intelligence committee hearing Wednesday, has some Republicans worried that they could get caught up in the same secret government intercepts of communications that helped to land President Donald Trump’s short-lived national security adviser in legal jeopardy.

Indeed, some conservatives on Capitol Hill think intelligence sources could leak information on them too, as they did on former national security adviser Michael Flynn, and routinely flout laws sharply limiting surveillance on Americans.

While the resistance to reauthorization is still forming, it seems to be large enough to force reforms to the law:

Arthur Rizer, a national security director at the R Street Institute, a libertarian-leaning conservative think tank, said the mood on Capitol Hill “has shifted dramatically,” especially among emboldened members of the rebellious Freedom Caucus—a congressional bloc of conservative and libertarian Republicans allied with the Tea Party movement who stormed back to relevance in the debate on a proposed overhaul of Obamacare.

“It’s like a perfect storm,” he said “There are enough Republicans who are Trumpites, and they see the intelligence community as the enemy.”

“They are trying to strategize how best to attack this issue,” Rizer said, noting that he had met with several Freedom Caucus members and said that one spoke of his deep dissatisfaction with existing surveillance powers granted to intelligence agencies under the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act.

“He said, ‘I will vote for sunset over re-authorization.’ I had never heard a Republican say that,” Rizer said, declining to identify the lawmaker.

Some lawmakers think re-authorization is in trouble without significant reforms.

“They don’t have the votes to pass it. It is that bad,” the Republican aide said.

California Senate Votes to Exempt Itself from CA Gun Laws

If you want to know what a Democrat-controlled Congress might have looked like under a Hillary presidency, look no further than California.

The leftist haven has drifted leftward in the decades since Ronald Reagan served as governor where the possibility of electing another Republican as governor is now nearly impossible.

And it has become routine for CA legislators to exempt themselves from the very laws they pass for everyone else.

Now the state’s anti-Second Amendment gun regulations have made the list of laws that don’t apply to legislators.

They also don’t pay for gas or have to pay traffic tickets.

What a sweetheart deal!

Here’s more from Joe for America…

The California State Senate agrees with Charlie Rangel that they “deserve” to own guns but the citizens do not! Every year they pass more and more gun control laws and NONE of them apply to themselves!

They voted 28-8 to exempt themselves from the gun-control laws that apply to the rest of the California.

You think maybe this will cause Californians to rise up? NOPE! It happened 5 years ago and since then, California has passed a plethora of other gun laws…that only apply to citizens.

Yes, you heard me right! The exemption was created in 2011 and the California legislature has passed a number of gun laws since. Pretty easy when you

…and it just goes on and on! are passing bills that do not apply to you!

It is not the only special privileges California legislators provide themselves!

They do not pay red light camera bills or for gasoline!

How does it all happen so easily in California? The Washington Post explains:

Attempts by a handful of reformers to require politicians to provide a full annual disclosure of the benefits received from the public treasury have been rebuffed. Currently, government officials must file a statement of economic interests revealing income from any source other than a local, state or federal government agency. Gifts worth more than $50 also must be disclosed, but lawmakers rejected a bill that would have prohibited acceptance of concert and sporting event tickets, gift cards, spa treatments, golf outings and other benefits from lobbyists trying to buy votes.

Bills of this nature never meet an honest fate in which roll-call votes put members on the record as favoring or opposing each idea. Instead, reform measures are held in committee to die quietly as legislative deadlines pass. As of last week, it’s effectively impossible for a bill to become law if it hasn’t already passed in at least one of the chambers.

…and it just goes on and on!

Nancy Pelosi: Trump Showing ‘Complete Disregard For the Constitution’

San Fran Nancy Pelosi is at it again with her delusional claims about the Trump administration.

On her favorite network, CNN, she blasted President Trump for allegedly showing ‘complete disregard for the Constitution’.

Her proof?

He keeps pressing his travel ban through the courts in hopes the Supreme Court will approve it.

Um, Nancy, pardon us for saying so, but that’s precisely what the Constitution prescribes in Article 3.

But since we’re on the subject, where was the protest when President Obama threatened to go around Congress with his ‘pen’ via executive orders? [crickets chirping]

Here’s more from Newsmax…

President Donald Trump has a “complete disregard for the Constitution,” House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi told CNN’s “New Day” on Tuesday, referring to his string of tweets pushing for the travel ban despite the courts repeatedly striking it down.

“This is what the courts are about,” Pelosi stressed.

“This is about the balance of power,” she said, adding that Trump “does succeed in doing one thing, and that is keeping the attention all on him,” which she said is all that is important to him, even if the attention is negative.

When asked why Trump would take such an unusual tactic as undercutting his own White House strategy, since the administration’s stance has been that the policy is not a ban, yet the president constantly referred to it in that way, Pelosi agreed that it is unusual.

“If you want a job at the White House, know your blood type because you’re going to get thrown overboard at some point,” she emphasized.

Concerning the lack of significant progress for the GOP’s legislative agenda, including healthcare and tax reform, Pelosi rejected any charges of Democrats’ obstructionism being the cause, saying the Republicans have “a majority of the House, they have a majority of the Senate and they have the White House any day of the week.”

Deep State: DOJ Arrests Leftist Contractor for Leaking NSA Docs to Media

Twenty-five year-old intelligence contractor Reality Winner (yes, that’s her real name) was arrested and charged yesterday in federal court for using her top-secret security clearance to obtain classified NSA documents related to the investigation into the Russia election hacking.

Winner printed the documents and distributed them to a leftwing news organization that already has a reputation for trying to help take down the Trump administration.

If she’s convicted, she’ll face a minimum sentence of ten years in prison.

Clearly the NSA didn’t learn anything after Edward Snowden.

Here’s more from Breitbart…

Reality Leigh Winner, a 25-year-old contractor with Pluribus International Corporation, was charged in federal court Monday for allegedly leaking a National Security Agency (NSA) report on Russian Election hacking to left-wing news site The Intercept.

In the criminal complaint handed down in U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia, Winner is charged with “Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information” in relation to an alleged scheme to leak a May NSA report to the media.

According to the supporting affidavit, Winner printed the report, for which she had no “need to know,” smuggled it from an unnamed U.S. intelligence agency facility in Georgia, and later transmitted it to an unnamed news outlet.

The matter was serious enough that the nation’s number two law enforcement official, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, felt it necessary to weigh in. In the press release announcing Winner’s charging, Rosenstein wrote:

Exceptional law enforcement efforts allowed us quickly to identify and arrest the defendant … Releasing classified material without authorization threatens our nation’s security and undermines public faith in government. People who are trusted with classified information and pledge to protect it must be held accountable when they violate that obligation.

She was caught only when that news outlet asked the intelligence agency to comment on the document last Tuesday. Upon realizing the document was, in fact, classified material, the agency quickly enlisted the FBI for an internal investigation that pointed to Reality Winner as the source of the leaks.

While the affidavit makes no mention of which news outlet Reality Winner sent the stolen material to, NBC News Cyber Security Reporter Tom Winter later tweeted that a senior federal official confirmed it was left-leaning investigative news site The Intercept.

This is not only recent controversy involving The Intercept, which was founded specifically to dig into the American intelligence apparatus. Intercept writer Juan Thompson was fired last year for fabricating stories about the racially-charged tragedy at South Carolina’s Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church, apparently to play up stereotypes of racist white southerners and smear Donald Trump supporters. This March, Thompson was the first person arrested for calling in threats to Jewish community centers as part of a nationwide intimidation campaign that was also widely blamed by the media on Trump supporters.

Trump Makes It Official: U.S. Gives Heisman to Paris Climate Accord

President Trump delivered his official decision on the Paris Climate Accord Thursday afternoon in a live press conference from the White House.

In what was already being rumored as imminent, Trump detailed that the multi-lateral climate regulations are onerous and not in the best interest of the U.S.

He criticized the Accord for ‘vastly diminished economic production’ and ‘draconian financial and economic burdens’ which could cost the U.S. nearly 3 million jobs.

Expectedly, the left has gone batty over the announcement with predictions of imminent global doom, with at least one lefty leader calling the move an ‘act of war’ against our allies.

It’s amazing how religiously motivated these “pro-science” people are.

University Melts Down Over Plan for White People-Free Day

A professor at Evergreen State College is being targeted for firing by radical leftist students who clearly have no interest in having a conversation about anything except the terms on which he will resign for ‘being racist’.

What was his infraction? He questioned whether it was productive in terms of conversations on race to be promoting a ‘White People-Free’ day on campus.

Now he’s the pariah du jour and cannot event return to campus after being stalked and threatened by radicals.

It’s gotten that bad.

Here’s more from NY Post…

After protesters at a Washington state college called for a day without white people, a biology professor says he no longer feels safe on campus — and student activists complain they’re being vilified by conservative media.

Evergreen State College students said racial tensions have been simmering in recent weeks, but reached a boiling point when a faculty member disagreed with their plans to protest what they say is institutional racism at the Olympia campus, according to The Olympian.

Students were particularly incensed by an email that surfaced on Twitter on May 25 between Professor Bret Weinstein and Rashida Love, director of First Peoples Multicultural Advising Services. Weinstein, who is white, allegedly condemned the “Day of Absence” event that asked white people to leave campus for the day.

He called the day “an act of oppression in and of itself” and said he would visit campus in spite of the demonstration, according to USA Today.

“If there was interest in a public presentation and discussion of race through a scientific/revolutionary lens, I would be quite willing to organize such an event,” Weinstein wrote.

In a YouTube video posted on May 27, a group of students is heard calling for Weinstein to be fired. Demonstrations have involved as many as 200 students pouring into classrooms and the school president’s office.

“Hey-hey, ho-ho, these racist teachers have got to go,” the students chanted in the video.

Weinstein told news station KING that he was advised last week not to go to campus for safety reasons.

“I have been told by the Chief of Police it’s not safe for me to be on campus,” Weinstein told KING.  The station notes that Weinstein has spoken out in this year against increasing the role race plays in the admissions process.

Comey to Testify to Congress: Trump Pressured Him to Kill Russia Investigation

A week after ousted FBI Chief James Comey finally agreed to testify in public before Congress, he’s now making it clear he’ll stand pat on his charge that President Trump pressured him to kill the FBI’s investigation into Michael Flynn and the Russia connections.

Of all his multiple appearances before Congress in the last year, this one will almost certainly be the most covered.

And the DOJ’s special prosecutor will be among the viewers.

The question still remains, however, was it even illegal in the first place?

Here’s more from Washington Examiner…

Former FBI Director James Comey plans to say in public testimony before a Senate committee President Trump pressured him to end the FBI’s investigation into ties between Trump’s campaign associates and Russia, according to a report.

CNN reported Wednesday Comey’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee could come as early as next week. However, no official date has been set.

Trump fired the former FBI director earlier this month, and the Justice Department appointed a special counsel, former FBI Director Robert Mueller, to lead the investigation into Russia’s meddling in the 2016 election.

Some members of Congress were concerned Mueller’s appointment would affect Comey’s ability to testify publicly.

But CNN said Comey and Mueller met privately and discussed the parameters for Comey’s testimony to safeguard against “legal entanglements.”

The former FBI director’s testimony will come as Democrats are alleging Trump may have attempted to obstruct the probe into whether associates on his campaign colluded with Russian officials.

Democrats made their allegations after reports indicated Comey recorded his interactions with the president in memos — including one conversation in which the president allegedly asked the former FBI director to end his investigation into Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser who was fired in February.

Those accounts are likely to be part of Comey’s public testimony, a source told CNN.

“The bottom line is he’s going to testify. He’s happy to testify, and he’s happy to cooperate,” the source said.
