GOP Senator: “Lesser of Two Socialists is Still a Socialist”

Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) caught the eye of President Trump, who shared Kennedy’s remarks blasting Democrats’ Wednesday night debates. “I’m not buying the story line of progressive versus moderate,” Kennedy said during a Fox News interview. “I would remind you that the lesser of two socialists is still a socialist,” he continued, before adding, “Even from the less liberal candidates, I heard a job-killing, soul-crushing socialist agenda.” Bottom line: the Left’s presidential hopefuls continue tripping over themselves in an attempt to draw moderate versus radical lines of distinction; alas, it’s all socialism, watered down or not.

Here’s more from The Hill…

GOP Sen. John Kennedy (La.) on Wednesday blasted Democrats who appeared in the party’s presidential debate the previous night, declaring “the lesser of two socialists is still a socialist.”

“I’m not buying the storyline of progressive versus moderate,” Kennedy said during an interview on Fox News, weighing the dynamics of the Tuesday night debate in Detroit.

“I would remind you that the lesser of two socialists is still a socialist,” he continued. “Even from the less liberal candidates, I heard a job-killing, soul-crushing socialist agenda.”
