AFL-CIO rips ObamaCare over union plan costs

The AFL-CIO approved a resolution saying that President Obama’s health care overhaul will drive up the costs of union-sponsored health plans to the point that workers and employers are forced to abandon them.

In a strongly worded resolution released Wednesday, the federation said that labor unions still support the Affordable Care Act’s overall goals of reducing health costs and bringing coverage to all Americans, but added that the law is being implemented in a way that is “highly disruptive” to union health care plans.

Obama has no ‘red line’ for child-rapes committed by illegal aliens

President Obama has spent the last month trying to convince the American people that war with Syria is necessary because the Assad government supposedly injured and killed a number of children.

Obama has also claimed that Assad has crossed the ‘red line,’ set by Obama himself in regards to the alleged use of chemical weapons, and continues to cite the violation of ‘international norms’ as reason enough to put U.S. service members in harm’s way.

Huckabee on UN: ‘Jackhammer the Whole Thing Off, Float It Into The East River’

(CNSNews.com) – Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee weighed in on the United Nation’s failure to condemn or sanction Syria in light of the alleged use of chemical weapons by Bashar al-Assad calling for removing its headquarters in Manhattan.

“Let’s jackhammer the whole thing off, float it into the East River and be done with it,” Huckabee said on the Saturday edition of “Fox and Friends.”

RAND PAUL: CALL OFF VOTE…

The Senate’s leading critic of President Obama’s war plans in Syria is now calling for a “permanent hold” on the vote to authorize military force in Congress following a surprise proposal from Russia to avert a military confrontation.

On Tuesday, as the Obama administration ramped up its lobbying on Capitol Hill, Sen. Rand Paul convened a group of some 30 lawmakers skeptical of a military intervention in Syria. The group — which included Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Rep. Alan Grayson (D-FL), Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI), Rep. Rick Nolan (D-MN) and two dozen others — discussed different strategies for staving off a military intervention and the desire to call off a vote to authorize military force.

Fournier: Obama Fumbling, Flip-flopping, Marble-mouthing…

The good news is we’re not at war. The bad news is … almost everything else about President Obama’s handling of Syria–the fumbling and flip-flopping and marble-mouthing–undercut his credibility, and possibly with it his ability to lead the nation and world.

As he addressed a global audience Tuesday night, liberal elites blindly accepted White House fiction that Russian intervention this week was somehow part of Obama’s master plan. Their conservative counterparts practically rooted against a diplomatic breakthrough, preferring an Obama black eye over peace.

The 12-Year War: 73% of U.S. Casualties in Afghanistan on Obama’s Watch

(CNSNews.com) – Twelve years ago today, nineteen al Qaeda terrorists hijacked four U.S. commercial airliners and flew them into the World Trade Towers, the Pentagon and a field in Pennsylvania.

In the war that Congress authorized against al Qaeda only three days after that attack, the vast majority of the U.S. casualties have occurred in the last four and a half years during the presidency of Barack Obama.

Cruz Won’t ‘Support Any Continuing Resolution That Funds Even One Penny of Obamacare’

(CNSNews.com) – Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) said he will not vote for a continuing resolution (CR) to fund the government that provides any funds for the Affordable Care Act, popularly known as Obamacare.

To keep the federal government funded past Sept. 30, when the new fiscal year begins, Congress must pass an all-encompassing CR spending package because no budget was passed and signed into law.

Obamacare Regulations Are 8 Times Longer Than Bible

(CNSNews.com) – Since March 2010, when President Barack Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and its companion Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act (HCERA), the administration has published in the Federal Register 109 final regulations governing how Obamacare will be implemented.

These regulations add up to 10,516 pages in the Federal Register—or more than eight times as many pages as there are in the Gutenberg Bible, which has 642 two-sided leaves or 1,286 pages.
