Christopher Steele to Meet with U.S. Officials

In a sudden about-face, former British Intelligence officer Christopher Steele–best known for the “golden showers” dossier facilitating the collusion delusion–will meet with U.S. officials in London. Purportedly, the meeting is to discuss his relationship with the FBI. Steele has previously refused to meet with U.S. intelligence officials and the House Intelligence Committee, though whether or not this meeting is strictly “voluntary” is not very clear from media reports thus far. If he reveals pertinent details, the upcoming report from the Inspector General could gain all the more clout before unraveling the Deep State’s coup.

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

According to The Sunday Times, former British Intelligence officer Christopher Steele, who was responsible for the infamous Trump “golden showers” dossier, will meet with U.S. investigators in London to speak of his relationship with the FBI.

Steele has been adamantly refusing to meet with U.S. intelligence officials; the House Intelligence Committee, which was examining the origins of the dossier when it was under Republican control last year, requested for him to meet with them, but he would not. In the Senate, Senate Intelligence Chairman, Sen. Richard Burr (R-NC) has been trying for two years to interview Steele; that has not eventuated.

The Hill reported:

Republicans have long alleged it was Steele’s dossier that improperly led to an FBI inquiry, which ultimately morphed into special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into possible coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia during the 2016 election.

Barr May Have Finished IG FISA Abuse Report

Attorney General William Barr may be ready to unleash a bombshell report on the Deep State from DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz, detailing Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses against the 2016 Trump campaign. “Sources are telling me it may now have already been handed to the attorney general,” revealed Sean Hannity on Monday. Barr has previously said he expected Horowitz to complete the investigation in late May or early June. Hannity’s sources just last month claimed the investigation was “done and it’s devastating.” If this isn’t a nothing burger [see Mueller Report], Trump’s reelection odds are north of 80%.

Here’s more from Washington Examiner…

Fox News host Sean Hannity said Attorney General William Barr may already have the Justice Department inspector general report on the investigation into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses.

“Sources are telling me it may now have already been handed to the attorney general,” Hannity said on his Monday evening show.

Inspector General Michael Horowitz has not made any public statements about the investigation in months, but Barr said he expected Horowitz to complete the inquiry in late May or early June.

Dem Pounces on Shooting to Promo Gun Control

Surprising exactly no one, committed anti-gunner Representative Jerry Nadler (D-NY) used the weekend’s Virginia Beach shooting to promote MORE gun control. Nadler tweeted: “We are nearly 100 days since @HouseJudiciary passed #HR8, the universal background checks bill, in the House, and today there has been another mass shooting in America. Thoughts and prayers are not enough. We need action now! #EnoughIsEnough #EndGunViolence.” Except the .45 caliber handguns used in the rampage were legally purchased, leaving it unclear how this shooting bolsters the Left’s argument for HR8 “universal background checks bill.” In other words, this is a typical knee-jerk response from liberals who haven’t been “mugged by reality” yet.

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

On Friday, Rep. Jerry Nadler (D-NY) sent out the following tweet regarding the Virginia Beach shooting:

We are nearly 100 days since @HouseJudiciary passed #HR8, the universal background checks bill, in the House and today there has been another mass shooting in America. Thoughts and prayers are not enough, we need action now. #EnoughIsEnough #EndGunViolence

The tweet has nearly 13,000 “likes,” and has been retweeted 5,300 times.

According to CBS News, the Virginia Beach gunman used two .45 caliber handguns in his rampage.

Sanders, Harris Attack Fellow Democrat Over “Heartbeat” Bill

Democratic presidential candidates Senators Bernie Sanders (VT) and Kamala Harris (CA) attacked fellow Democrat Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards for signing into law “heartbeat” protections limiting abortions in his state. “Dangerous attacks on women’s constitutional right to an abortion are outrageous no matter what party you’re in,” Harris tweeted. Sanders called the move an “outrage.” Once again, Democrats are making it clear that pro-life Democrats are anathema and shall be purged.

Here’s more from The Hill…

Democratic presidential hopefuls Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) and Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) criticized Louisiana Gov. John Bel Edwards (D) on Thursday for his support of a bill that would ban abortion when a fetal heartbeat can be detected.

“Dangerous attacks on women’s constitutional right to an abortion are outrageous no matter what party you’re in,” Harris tweeted after Edwards signed the bill, which would outlaw abortion around six weeks into pregnancy.

“My message to the Gov. of Louisiana: women have agency, women have value, women have authority to make decisions about their own lives—and we will not go backward,” she added.

RBG: Pregnant Women Are Not “Mothers”

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg clearly didn’t pass Biology 101 given her remarks that pregnant women are not “mothers.” The comment was made following Justice Clarence Thomas’ opinion supporting the Supreme Court’s 7-2 ruling upholding an Indiana abortion law. The measure requires hospitals and other medical facilities to provide dignified cremation or burial services to babies aborted on their premises but blasting them for not explicitly condemning eugenics or sex-selective abortions. Ginsberg specifically took issue with the use of the word “mother,” arguing that “[A] woman who exercises her constitutionally protected right to terminate a pregnancy is not a ‘mother.'” Somehow, though, paternity tests for babies in utero still constitute legal fatherhood. Weird how that works.

Here’s more from The Daily Wire…

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has an odd concept of motherhood. According to her, pregnant women are not mothers, particularly pregnant women that terminate their offspring in an abortion.

On Tuesday, the Supreme Court ruled 7-2 in favor of an Indiana abortion law requiring medical facilities to provide dignified burials or cremation to children aborted at their establishment. Though conservative Justice Clarence Thomas concurred with the court’s opinion, he argued that his colleagues made a mistake by choosing to forgo ruling on whether or not Indiana could ban abortions for sex-selective or eugenic purposes. It was his use of the word “mother” in his dissent that his fellow colleague Justice Ginsburg took most issue with.

“Enshrining a constitutional right to an abortion based solely on the race, sex, or disability of an unborn child, as Planned Parenthood advocates, would constitutionalize the views of the 20th-century eugenics movement,” Thomas wrote.

Los Angeles County Bans Official Travel to Alabama

The pro-abortion zealots sitting on the County Board of Supervisors just banned official travel to Alabama except for emergencies because of Alabama’s pro-life law. A statement from LA County Supervisor (and Obama administration veteran) Hilda Solis calls Alabama’s protection of innocent life an attack on Alabama residents. “Today’s vote sends a strong signal that infringing upon an individual’s rights to reproductive health and privacy are not American values,” quoth Solis. This is the same board that voted to ban plastic straws to save fish, but you know, priorities.

Here’s more from PJ Media…

Welcome to the era of ridiculous political posturing.

Los Angeles County, home to the county seat that is so concerned with the lives of fish that it has waged war on plastic straws, isn’t as concerned with human life.

Unhappy with Alabama’s new abortion law, the County Board of Supervisors spent taxpayer-paid time addressing the issue.

From WBRC.com:

One of the largest counties in the country says it’s not doing business with Alabama because of the recently passed abortion bill.
This week, the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors voted to implement a one year travel restriction to Alabama for official LA County business except for emergencies.

AOC Wages War on “Colonial” Cauliflower

First, it was cow farts. Now, it’s cauliflower, arguably the least exciting vegetable ever, that made the cut to be on socialist Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s (NY) sh*tlist, in this case as a presumably racist colonial green space usurper. During a livestream, she rambled on about composting (because a girl from the Bronx is an expert on this) only to unleash a total gem: “[W]hen someone says that it’s too hard to do a green space that grows yucca instead of, I don’t know, cauliflower or something, what you’re doing is that you’re taking a colonial approach to environmentalism.” She went on to use this as the basis of “why a lot of communities of color get resistant to certain environmentalist movements because they come with the colonial lens on them.”

Here’s more from National Review…

A few weeks ago, I noted that Louisiana’s state legislature is contemplating legislation that would bar makers of cauliflower rice from labeling their product “rice,” contending that consumers will get confused. Instead, the rice growers want the product to be labeled . . . “riced cauliflower.”

But Louisiana isn’t the only spot where cauliflower is under fire. In a stream-of-consciousness discussion of composting, the Green New Deal, and community gardens, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez lamented cauliflower as symbol of colonialism.

“Looks like they’ve got composting going on, which is so awesome, too, because composting is really hard to do in a neighborhood like this. We just don’t have the pick ups and the ease of it that a lot of other communities have.

Pelosi: Trump is “Villainous”

Nancy Pelosi is once again loud and clear about her plan to impeach President Trump no matter the lack of an actual impeachable offense. “Let me be very clear: the president’s behavior, as far as his obstruction of justice, the things that he is doing, it’s in plain sight, it cannot be denied-ignoring subpoenas, obstruction of justice,” Pelosi told reporters, according to a report by NBC News. The frozen-face Democrat even went so far as to tell her Democratic colleagues on Thursday that President Trump “wants to be impeached” so that the Senate can save him. So much for the “impeachment is a good move” rhetoric.

Here’s more from NBC News…

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., told her Democratic colleagues Thursday that President Donald Trump “wants to be impeached” so that he can be vindicated by the Senate.

Pelosi made the comments at a closed-door morning meeting, two Democratic aides told NBC News, who also said that Pelosi called Trump’s actions “villainous.”

The aide said that Pelosi was implying that she will stick to her current plan to keep investigating the president and his administration without jumping to impeachment, though she didn’t explicitly address strategy in her remarks.

15 States Trying to Abolish Electoral College

Nevada just became the latest state to join the National Popular Vote pact to abolish the Electoral College and give liberal strongholds, such as California and New York, “majority” control over the White House. Fourteen other states plus the District of Columbia have already decided to give their state’s electoral votes to the winner of the national popular vote. Although the measure is now 75 electoral votes away from the 270-vote threshold needed to swing the electoral vote, Maine and Oregon are predicted to surrender their nonliberal constituents’ voting rights on a false pedestal of “representation.”

Here’s more from MSN…

The man who helped invent scratch-off lottery tickets now has his sights set on a bigger prize: overhauling the way the United States elects presidents.

On Tuesday, Nevada became the latest state to pass a bill that would grant its electoral votes to whoever wins the popular vote across the country, not just in Nevada. The movement is the brainchild of John Koza, a co-founder of National Popular Vote, an organization that is working to eliminate the influence of the Electoral College.

If Nevada’s governor signs the bill, the state will become the 15th — plus the District of Columbia — to join an interstate pact of states promising to switch to the new system. Those states, including Nevada, have a total of 195 electoral votes. The pact would take effect once enough states have joined to guarantee the national winner 270 electoral votes, ensuring election.

FBI FISA Application Approved in an “Unusual” Way

Former FBI Deputy General Counsel Trisha Anderson told a joint session of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees that the FBI’s FISA application was approved in an “unusual” way, but we’re just now learning about it. Anderson, who was the point person to sign off on FISA applications before sending them to her superiors, specifically told the committees that in October 2016 FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates veered off the “linear path” by directly signing the application and bypassing her completely. Anderson emphasized that “this one was handled a little bit differently in that sense in that it received very high-level review and approvals-informal, oral approvals-before it ever came to me for signature.” Hmm. We have no idea why high-level DOJ officials would be actively involved in a routine FBI investigation.

Here’s more from Washington Examiner…

A former top lawyer for the FBI described to lawmakers the “unusual” way the surveillance request targeting former Trump campaign associate Carter Page was handled by top leadership at the Justice Department and FBI, according to a transcript released this week.

In front of a joint session of the House Judiciary and Oversight committees on Aug. 31, 2018, former FBI Deputy General Counsel Trisha Anderson said she was normally responsible for signing off on Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act applications before they reached the desk of her superiors for approval. Anderson said the “linear path” those applications typically take was upended in October 2016, with FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates signing off on the application before she did. Because of that unusual high-level involvement, she didn’t see the need to “second guess” the FISA application.

The Page FISA application was filed by the Justice Department and FBI with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in October 2016. A surveillance warrant was granted and three renewals were subsequently approved.
