Reportedly, gun sales in North Carolina have surged in response to the violent Charlotte protests.
Hyatt Gun Shop — a large gun store in Charlotte, NC, and “one of the nation’s largest” — had buyers lined up outside the store when they opened Thursday morning.
According to the Washington Examiner, Hyatt’s director of marketing, Justin Anderson, indicates the demand for guns has been elevated since the shooting in North Carolina on Wednesday took place, and Wednesday night was the high point prior to Thursday. He said, “Sales [Wednesday] night were brisk. Most of the purchases were self-defense shotguns and 12 gauge buckshot.”
