RNC Chairman and soon-to-be Chief of Staff Reince Priebus is arguably closer to Donald Trump during the transition process than any other person, and he says Trump is very ‘socratic’ in his methods.
Here’s more from Newsmax:
Donald Trump’s chief of staff said Sunday the president-elect is taking intelligence briefings “about every day,” praising him as a “detail” and “Socratic method guy” who “asks a lot of questions and listens.”
In an interview on CBS News’ “Face The Nation,” Reince Priebus said Trump will “talk to a lot of folks and say, ‘what do you think about this option?’ That’s a good thing.”
“But in the end, once he formulates his opinion, once he decides, ‘this is where we’re going to go,’ he pulls the trigger and he moves.”
Priebus said the daily intel briefings which Trump had reportedly been skipping are “happening quite frequently.”
“It’s about every day,” he said, adding, “I think those are just going to ramp up as we get closer to January 20th. But he certainly is informed. He’s getting briefed. … it’s a lot.”
Priebus said that process is typical.
“That’s who he is,” he said. “It’s someone who studies and someone who wants to be informed and it’s someone who asks a lot of questions and listens. He is a details guy.
“He’s a Socratic method guy. It reminds me of being back in law school. He asks a lot of questions. He asks questions about questions. And he will keep going until he is satisfied with the information that he’s getting.”
