Waukesha Terrorist Gets $5mil Bail; Another Boy Dies of Injuries

Waukesha massacre arrestee Darrell Brooks made his first appearance at the Waukesha County Courthouse on Tuesday afternoon, facing five charges of first-degree intentional homicide after his red SUV rammed through groups of grandmothers and children at a Christmas parade.

Judge Kevin Costello set Brooks’ bail at the $5 million requested by prosecutors, referencing Brooks’ outstanding criminal cases and his inability to refrain from criminal activity while free from custody on bail.

Prosecutors revealed at the first hearing that a child-the sixth fatality- had died as a result of injuries sustained from the SUV attack. They expect to file an additional count of intentional homicide against Brooks for the killing. Wisconsin abolished capital punishment in 1853. Read more…
